Gautrain
Client: Bombela Civils Joint Venture
Location: Between Johannesburg, Tshwane and O.R Tambo International Airport
Products Used: More than 200 000 tons of CEM 1 Cement
The Gautrain Rapid Rail Link is a state-of-the-art rapid rail network planned in Gauteng. The rail connection comprises of two links, namely a link between Tshwane (Pretoria) and Johannesburg and a link between OR Tambo International Airport and Sandton. Apart from the three anchor stations on these two links, seven other stations will be linked by approximately 80 kilometres of rail along the proposed route.
Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium
Client: Grinaker - Lta/Interbeton

Products Used: More than 13 000 Tons of cement
Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium is a world-class football venue. It is situated in the Eastern Cape Province, overlooking the North End at the heart of the city. The stadium is one of three built along the coast in anticipation of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It's seating capacity of 48 000 boasts 150 VIP suites, 60 business suites, a sports clothing shop, a gymnasium, 500 parking bays, as well as lecture and function rooms.
Soccer City Stadium
Client: Grinaker - LTA/Interbeton
Location: Nasrec, Johannesburg
Products Used: More than 16 000 tons of cement
Soccer City (also know as the FNB Stadium) is earmarked to host both the opening and final matches of the 2010 Soccer World Cup. Built in 1987, Soccer City has played host to some of the most memorable matches in South Africa's soccer history.
Cape Town Stadium
Client: Joint Venture Murray & Roberts/WBHO
Location: Green Point, Cape Town
Products Used: More than 44 000 Tons (cement & slag) supplied by PPC to Lafarge Readymix (concrete structure) & Cape Concrete/Concrete Units (concrete seats)
The Cape Town Stadium in Cape Town is located in Green Point, between Signal Hill and the Atlantic Ocean. It is close to the city centre and the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, a popular tourist and shopping venue. The stadium will be transformed into a completely new 70 000 seater, all-weather, multi-purpose, environmentally sustainable, modern, technologically advanced, world class stadium.
Berg River Dam
Client: Department of Water Affairs and Forestry
Location: Franschhoek, Western Cape
Products Used: More than 43 000 tons of cement
At a cost of R1.5 billion, the dam and accompanying infrastructure, designed to last a thousand years, has been one of the largest civil engineering projects in South Africa to date. Nearly 145 000m of concrete was cast to complete the new Berg River Dam's one kilometre long wall.

Client: Zurich Insurance Company

As one of South Africa's leading nation builders, PPC was selected as the preferred cement supplier for Zurich Insurance Company when they decided to build their new headquarters within the Johannesburg city centre. As part of a new office precinct, Zurich's offices will be located on the corners of Marshall and Miriam Makeba Streets, in Newtown.
