PPC Ltd.’s Women’s Forum – a change agent for the retention and advancing of female talent
PPC Ltd., through its women’s forum, continues to attract, embrace and advance women’s talent to effectively lead the company, and encourages creativity and innovation. The subject of women and providing equal opportunity in the workplace remains a key priority for its board members and executive committee. As a result, in 2011 the cement company launched the PPC Women’s Forum (PPCWF) to facilitate dialogue among women and create support networks from skilled and experienced men and women, providing influential leadership towards diversity in the company.
PPC General Manager wins the 2013 Woman in Concrete Award
PPC Ltd.’s Jupiter factory General Manager (GM), Busi Legodi, was the recipient of the Woman in Concrete Award at the 2013 Women in Construction Excellence Awards. The awards were hosted at the TotallyConcrete Expo recently held at the Sandton Convention Centre. The award recognises professional women for their role as pioneers in innovation and transformation within the construction industry.
PPC launches training centre for youth with complex disabilities at Forest Town School
Today, the Deputy Minister for the Department of Women, Children and People with Disabilities, Ms Hendrietta Bogopane-Zulu, inaugurated the Forest Town School’s Bakery, Confectionery and IT Technology Training Centre, in Johannesburg. The centre, funded by PPC Ltd. provides accredited work-based training within a fully functional business facility for youth with complex disabilities between the ages of 16 and 22 years.

PPC also produces aggregates metallurgical-grade lime, burnt dolomite and limestone.
